'BACKSTAGE! With Brenna! Ep.1 featuring Lauren Copping
'Backstage! With Brenna' is a podcast series where Miss Brenna is joined by special guests to decode, decipher and demystify dance and taking dance beyond the studio.
Miss Brenna will chat with LDC Alumni, industry professionals and creative leaders, discussing everything from the fact that if you drive a car, you should dance, how to break through as a choreographer, what's up with 'Hollywood North' and how to actually take the words 'injury prevention' into daily practice.
Our first guest is LDC Alumni & Physiotherapist LAUREN COPPING!!
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing LDC Alumni Lauren since 2007 at which time I became her primary Modern and Contemporary Instructor at the Landing. Lauren was an LDC exceptional dancer who left a profound impact on our community by always supporting, volunteering and, stepping in to help younger dancers. Her passion for collaboration ultimately led her to pursue a career in physiotherapy, with a focus on the dance community.
Lauren’s interest in physical therapy started from being a patient herself. As a high level dancer, Lauren sustained a few injuries through her career. Her own experience and recovery from injury led to a passion of wanting to share rehabilitation knowledge and help others recover and prevent future injury.
By focusing on specific goals for her clients, Lauren uses a combination of education, manual therapy and exercises to reach her client’s goals, and excel in doing what they love.
We are so excited to hear what she has to share with us! Watch the episode HERE
