Summer Dance Programs at The Landing Dance Centre

Keep your child active and excited about dance with summer dance classes at The Landing Dance Centre!

Our 2020 camps are available in July and August to dancers of all skill levels, ages 2.5 and up. Summer programs for beginners offer students the opportunity to broaden their horizons by exploring multiple genres. Experienced dancers can benefit from our intensive programs by building on their foundation training and pushing past their comfort zones.

Summer Programs at The Landing Dance Centre

Ballerinas Who Tap

This program introduces young beginner dancers to both ballet and tap. One-hour classes are broken down into half-hour sessions, giving students an equal amount of time to explore each genre. Young students will gain confidence in the studio while learning both independence and teamwork.

Ballerinas Who Tap is a three-week session available in both July and August, consisting of two dance classes per week.

Session details:

  • Dates: July 14-30 & August 4-20

  • Age groups: 3-4 & 5-6

  • Class days: Tuesday & Thursday

  • Class times: 4:00-5:00 p.m. (ages 3-4) & 5:00-6:00 p.m. (ages 5-6)

Summer Camps

Our exciting summer dance camps focus on multiple genres and are available to dancers of all skill levels, ages 5-13. Our goal is to spark your child’s creativity and instill a love for dance. Summer camp students are kept engaged and excited with no two lessons being the same.

  • Dates: July 13-17

  • 9am-3pm

Half Day Camps

  • July 13-17 | Ages 2.5-4 | 10:00-11:30am

  • July 20-24 | Ages 4-6 | 9am-12pm

  • July 27-31 | Ages 5-8 | 9am-12pm

Summer Workshop Series

Our summer three-day workshop series is designed for experienced dancers ages eight and up to grow their current skills. With a focus on technique and form in specific genres, this is a great opportunity for experienced dancers to fine tune their craft. In-depth lessons will challenge dedicated dancers, furthering their potential on the floor.

  • Acro (Level 1, Ages 8-12) | July 28-30 | 4-6pm

  • Acro (Level 2, Ages 10-14) | July 28-30 | 6-9pm

  • Acro (Level 3/Advanced, Ages 13+) | July 28-30 | 6-9pm

  • Hip Hop (Level 1, Ages 8-13) | Aug 4-6 | 5-7pm

  • Hip Hop (Level 2-3, Ages 12+) | Aug 4-6 | 5-8pm

  • Tap (Level 1, Ages 8-12) | Aug 11-13 | 4-6pm

  • Tap (Level 2, Ages 10-14) | Aug 11-13 | 5-7pm

  • Tap (Level 3/Advanced, Ages 13+) | Aug 11-13 | 6-8pm

Summer Intensive

The Landing Dance Centre’s Summer Master Class Series will take place August 24-28 2020. This intensive program will be led by a distinct group of renowned instructors and choreographers. Advanced students will work on mastering their craft, taking direction from a select group of talented industry professionals.

Our Summer Intensive is made specifically to the experienced and serious dancers ready to continue training on their artistry and form. Please contact us directly for more information on auditions and placement classes.
