Jared Khalifa

Jared is a multidisciplinary artist and athlete, born and raised in Vancouver. Jared’s work in the entertainment field has covered a range of industries and disciplines – such as dance, circus, tumbling, acting, stunts, choreography, teaching, and movement coaching within theatre, film, television, commercials, and motion capture.

Initially, Jared began his career simultaneously competing on the Canadian National Tumbling Team while working in the theatre industry. As a tumbler, Jared competed at three World Age Group Championships, earned two World Cup Silver medals, twelve National Championship medals, and three Canadian titles, and was featured for two seasons as a VIP Athlete at the All-Star Games. When not on the competition floor, Jared could be seen on stage in productions such as Beauty and the Beast (The Arts Club), Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat (Royal City Musical Theatre), the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, and live appearances in concert with Barry Manilow, Foreigner and Eric Church with Showstoppers.

Jared was then scouted by Cirque Du Soleil and offered a select position at Cirque IHQ in Montreal. Shortly after entering their professional training program, he accepted a contract for the arena touring show OVO, as a part of the original recreation cast.

Following his time on tour, Jared dove into the Film and Television industry as a dancer, actor and stunt performer. Some of his notable credits include Schmigadoon (Apple TV), Sonic the Hedgehog (Paramount Pictures), Yellowjackets (Showtime), Bring It On: Cheer or Die (Syfy), Descendants (Disney), Monster High (Nickelodeon), Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist (NBC), Motherland: Fort Salem (Hulu), Cinderella Story: A Christmas Wish (Warner Bros), The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina, Riverdale and Christmas Chronicles II (Netflix), EA Games and more.

In 2021, after a global casting search, Jared was humbled to take on the lead character of Red Bird in Cirque Du Soleil’s Mystère in Las Vegas, and starred in the docu-series, In Search of the Red Bird, which follows the casting process.

In tandem to his stage and screen career, Jared is a passionate teacher and industry advocate. He has taught for internationally recognized dance and acrobatic curriculums, led teacher-training programs, and been on convention faculties. He holds a position on the UBCP/ACTRA Dance and Choreography committee – representing and bringing awareness to the importance and value of dancers and choreographers in Film and Television. Having recently returned to Vancouver after living in Las Vegas, Jared is excited to reconnect with the dance community in his home city.
